Errol G. Davis

Pastor

Pastor Errol Davis is a native of Fairfield, Alabama. Errol is married to Jennifer (Pride) Davis of Huntsville. He is a graduate of the Alabama A&M University, where he received his B.A. Degree in Telecommunications. Errol also received his Master of Ministry Pastoral Studies Degree and Bachelor of Theology Degree from Huntsville Bible College. He worked twenty-three years in the field of broadcasting of television news for the local CBS affiliate in Huntsville WHNT-TV. He retired from that industry in August 2005. Preceding his career in news management he was a News Video Photographer where he covered various news stories locally and abroad, as far away as The Soviet Union.
Errol accepted the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in January of 2003 at First Missionary Baptist under the pastorate of Dr. Julius R. Scruggs. Errol was a deacon at First Missionary Baptist Church at that time he accepted the call to preach. Errol believes that the Lord prepared him for the leadership role of a pastor by allowing him to take part in many areas of ministry while attending First Missionary Baptist Church. One of his favorite ministries, which he has done since 1991, is sharing the gospel with inmates at the Huntsville-Madison County Jail.
In May of 2007 Pastor Errol and his wife Co-Pastor Jennifer Davis accepted their call of God to launch a church in Huntsville called New Beginnings Christian Church.
Pastor Errol loves to play golf since his football days of playing quarterback is far-gone. He enjoys meeting new people and making new friends especially in the Kingdom of God.
One of Pastor Errol’s favored scripture is Galatians 2:20, “I Have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me, the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Jennifer U. Davis

co-pastor

Co-Pastor Jennifer U. Davis, fondly known as Pastor Jenn is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. She attended the Alabama A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Huntsville Bible College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Master of Ministery in Pastoral Studies.
Pastor Jennifer is mandated by God to preach the unadulterated word of Jesus Christ, encourage Christians to develop and maintain an intimate relationship with God and help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ through real and relevant messages and teachings. She preaches and teaches across denominational lines. Whenever and wherever she preaches, she challenges listeners through theological and spiritual insight to walk as sons and daughters of the kingdom of God. The anointing on her life permeates the message as she invites the listeners to invoke God for themselves.
Pastor Jennifer is married to Pastor Errol Davis her college sweetheart. She retired from the Federal Government after 25 years of service to give full time service in ministry. Her “first love” is the Lord and she LOVES preaching and teaching HIS WORD! One of her favorite Scriptures comes from the Book of Ephesians 3:20, which says, “Now to HIM who is ABLE to do EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY, ABOVE ALL, we can ask, or think, or imagine, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US.”

Joshua L. Washington

MINISTER OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS

Joshua Washington is a native of Huntsville, AL. He is a graduate of Samford University, where he earned his B.S. in Sports Medicine. Joshua also received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. He went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at the University of Alabama, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship. During this time, he served as a local physician caring for patients in Tuscaloosa and surrounding communities. He also worked with high school athletes and served as a team physician for several Alabama Crimson Tide sports, including football, men’s basketball, softball, and volleyball.

The Lord began opening doors for Joshua to preach during his time at Samford, beginning with a university-wide convocation held during his sophomore year. While at Samford, Joshua also led one of the university’s on-campus ministries, RANSOM, and preached through the Samford Sundays program. That initial convocation opportunity led to additional preaching engagements, ultimately culminating in Joshua’s formal acceptance of his call to ministry in 2017 at New Beginnings Christian Church under Pastors Errol and Jennifer Davis.

Now that his training is complete, Joshua has returned home to Huntsville for this season, where he is thankful for the opportunity to serve as Youth and Young Adult Minister and support the growth of the next generation.
Joshua’s vision for the Youth and Young Adult Ministry is modeled after John 17:3 —
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent,”
and 1 Timothy 4:12 —
“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

He looks forward to guiding youth and young adults into a genuine relationship with God through Jesus Christ, fostering spiritual growth, discipleship, and Christ-centered living from an early age.
